The town of Drummond has approximately 550 year-round residents and is the home of Drummond School District serving the surrounding communities of Barnes, Cable, Drummond, Grand View, Lincoln and Mason.
The town has historically been a mill town. The school is currently the largest employer followed by the State Bank of Drummond. There is also a post office, gas station and convenience store, three restaurants and taverns.
Approximately 93% of the township is forested land with 80% of that being part of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. With such a large amount of public forest, opportunities for outdoor recreation are unlimited.
